Virgin genuine carbon fibre mug - Quotidiano Edition 1

Genuine carbon fibre mug (coffee cup) using 100% virgin carbon fibres - which are 100% offset. We offset its carbon footprint through tree planting: for each mug sold, we plant six trees. These trees absorb between 1,200 and 6,000 kg of CO₂ over their lifetime, which covers the mug’s production, delivery, and even the energy used to boil three cups of water daily for up to 762 years (around 30 generations).

Every mug is hand made using compression moulding - a technique also utilised in aerospace, automotive, sporting goods etc.

The composite weight of this mug is around 240 grams - 150 of which is pure carbon fibre. In addition to this, it features a thin food grade stainless steel sleeve on the inside for direct contact with hot beverages to ensure a safe drinking experience with no impact on the taste of your drink. The strip around the base is also stainless steel.

The weight and sound when tapping the mug with a spoon is comparable to ceramic or glass.

Keep in mind - this is a unique handcrafted item with no predecessors. Do not expect industrial level precision. You may find minor surface imperfections or misalignments. Pay attention to every detail before placing a bid. Returns will only be accepted if the item got damaged during transit. This IS the beginning of a journey, that starts in a shed in the United Kingdom, so please, temper your expectations.
